‍ ‍Valerie Betts, also known as Val and Valography, is a Cinematographer and Photographer based in Los Angeles, California.‍ ‍

She is proudly from West Palm Beach, Florida and a graduate of A. W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts where she majored in Communications. There, she started a company called Valography which provided video and photo services to families and businesses across Palm Beach County.

This early hands-on experience lead her to Florida State University’s College of Motion Picture Arts where she was the Director of Photography of six short films and worked on countless others in various support roles. Additionally, she was a teachers assistant for two advanced cinematography classes earning herself a BFA in Film Production and specialization in Cinematography.

Val now lives in Los Angeles, California and works as a freelance Cinematographer, Photographer, and Camera Operator. She focuses her work on communities that are the most important to her including positive LGBTQ+ content, promotion of athletics and sports, and telling diverse under-represented stories around the world.
